Secretary to the Board of Management

The Secretary to the Board of Management takes primary responsibility for all secretarial and management supporting activities for the CEO, Chief HR Officer, Chief Science & Sustainability Officer and the President of the Algae Ingredients Division at Corbion.
He or she will be based in our Global Corporate Headquarters in the center of Amsterdam. In close collaboration with a counterpart who is also based at the HQ, the Management Assistant operates in the center of a broad and international business and corporate environment, managing a broad portfolio of international contacts internally as well as externally.
The Management Assistant reports directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
As our Secretary to the Board of Management, you will manage and oversee administrative services for the designated Executive Committee members in the Amsterdam HQ office. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
- Arranging and coordinating executive travel and preparation of meetings.
- Providing executive support with preparing expense reports and reporting.
- Organizing, planning and preparing both internal and external meetings, if necessary being able to draw up minutes/action lists.
- Other general secretarial duties in full collaboration with the colleague management assistant.
Apart from the secretarial responsibilities, the management secretary will manage all activities related to the HQ office in Amsterdam in close collaboration with the CHRO :
- Act as the focal point for all Safety duties and activities in HQ Office.
- Oversee and manage facility management of the office.
- Act as a liaison for the realter and the other tenants.
About you
This is an opportunity for a proactive and experienced management support professional with an international mind-set and a high degree of cultural sensitivity. A dedicated professional who is flexible, both when it comes to taking on a variety of challenges, as well as with regards to working hours across time zones. He or she will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills as well as internal customer focus.
In addition, a successful candidate holds the following qualifications:
- Bachelor degree level (MBO+ or HBO), preferably in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a board secretary or management assistant within an international organization.
- High level of discretion, confidentiality and integrity and the ability to effectively represent Corbion and its’ leadership towards all contacts.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, both in speaking and writing. The ability to communicate in French is considered highly advantageous.
- Microsoft Office Suite experience
- Independent, yet collaborative style of working
- Flexibility to cope with changing business priorities and working hours
