To support our fast-growing business, we are looking for a Business development Manager – Aquaculture. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse, and international team, full of drive and energy, within a larger corporate organization. Your role

As a Business development Manager aquaculture,  you will take responsibility for developing and executing the business development plan and projects with support of sales and other functions. You will closely collaborate with product management, supply chain, marketing and other functions, to translate the market needs into product solutions.

 

  • Translate aquaculture strategy into global business development plan for the aquaculture segment and execute plan with the regions.
  • Identify market trends and sustainable market opportunities to further develop business in collaboration with the regions.
  • Drive and manage  pipeline of new opportunities with regional sales to materialize on the business objectives
  • Gather market and competitive information to support the regional and global strategy
  • Develop innovative strategies for aquaculture (business case, recommendations) ensuring innovation projects align with long-term business strategy for aquaculture. Work with R&D, technical managers and product team to develop solutions portfolio for the market.
  • Translate customer and market needs to products and solutions in close cooperation with product management, technical management and R&D.
  • Develop value propositions for new product market combinations, supported by the technical and nutrition team and trials.
  • Develop and roll out route to market for new segment/territories in coordination with sales, marketing, technical and regulatory.
  • Work together with marketing and regional sales managers to implement marketing communication to drive business development
  • Build strong relations with key opinion leaders, key customers and distributors and explore collaborations that lead to new products, new markets or joint ventures.

 

What you bring

 We’re looking for an experienced international B2B business development manager with experience in the aquaculture space. In addition, you meet the following criteria:

  • at least 10 years of experience in international B2B feed industry, farming, raw material or ingredient business with a sustainability value proposition
  • strong affinity with the aquaculture segment
  • a business degree and/or a scientific degree in Food Science, Aquaculture, Animal Science
