Corbion’s Global Supply Chain department ensures product availability to our customers at optimal cost, through integrated planning for our two largest business units: Lactic Acid & Specialties and Sustainable Food Solutions. The department plays an important role in balancing demand and supply on short-to-long term horizon, and plans the supply of a wide range of products produced at multiple sources, balancing global and local constraints and opportunities.

 

Responsibilities

 

As our Global Supply Network Planner, you will develop the mid to long term plans, drive strategy implementation and continuous improvement of an optimized Supply Chain Network for five of Corbion’s  Lactic Acid & Derivative plants on different continents, plus our Outsourced Operations. Your result areas are Service & Stock Level, Obsolescence, Operational efficiency, Capacity utilization, Resource constraint, MPS (schedule) attainment, Stock Projection, S&OP strategic decisions and other relevant KPI’s.

 

You are a key member of a team of 4 Global Supply Network Planners, you report to the Director Supply & Inventory Planning,  and you build and nurture collaborative relationships with(in) the international Supply Chain, Product Management, Sales, Procurement, Outsourcing, S&OP and Master Data teams.

 

To achieve optimum results, you will provide the weekly planning cycle of designated operation(s), with the following scope:

 

  • Collaborate with Schedulers to formulate optimized campaign sequencing planning
  • Connect with Demand Planners and CRM to discuss demand fulfilment and prioritization in all regions.
  • Optimize inventory levels through analysis of supply chain data and generate KPI's
  • Own the limiting of write offs by actively managing obsolete stocks
  • Present periodic reports (W,M,Y), as agreed with business areas (example: stock projection, detention projection, etc.)
  • Provide relevant master data and planning parameters related to new material flows in SAP the planning system
  • Partner with regional demand management and site supply chain to optimize the supply and demand balancing
  • Collaborate with global demand management providing relevant input to ensure and optimize allocation and prioritization plan
  • Lead the monthly Site Supply Review
  • Facilitate in the monthly Global Supply Consolidation meeting as part of the S&OP cycle
  •  (redundant with the point below)Master the scenario modelling in the planning system (OMP) and prepare cases for strategic business decisions in the monthly S&OP cycle
  • Provide inputs and support the preparation of the annual Asset review and Budget cycles
  • Support the roadmap to professionalize the supply chain processes within Corbion with a focus on supply planning
  • Lead and participate in improvement projects

 

About you

 

You are an ambitious Supply Chain professional who meets the following criteria:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing. Process industry preferred.
  • Strong expertise in supply chain processes, systems and reports (preferably OMP and SAP)
  • APICS CPIM certification considered a benefit.
  • Analytically strong and numerically skilled with a structured in the way of working
  • You have a Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Excellent communication skills and drive to influence
  • Proactive and decisive with a sense of urgency
  • You can maneuver in an international and diverse environment with cultural awareness
