(Senior) Innovation Project Manager – Process Technology
Your responsibilities
Within the Process Innovation department we are looking for a (senior) Project Manager. The ideal candidate will lead the execution of process improvement projects for our current production facilities from Scoping to Launch. The Project Manager will work closely with the R&D Innovation Center, Operations, and Product management departments in cross-functional teams to develop the project teams and plans aligned with the relevant stakeholders and drive/ensure successful execution. The successful candidate should have sufficient demonstration of his/her leadership role in the process innovation projects, preferably up to the implementation in the existing production facilities. They should have excellent communication and leadership skills, a keen eye for the relevant details while understanding the bigger picture, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with effective budget and resources.
This role is critical in driving our organization's growth. The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of projects, ensuring they progress according to the established plan, milestones, and deliverables. They are accountable for completing the projects on time, within budget, and meeting the agreed-upon quality and resource requirements set by key stakeholders. The Project Manager is responsible for providing regular status updates and reporting on project progress, while keeping stakeholders informed of any risks or challenges. They must also understand the interdependencies between projects and recommend appropriate prioritization strategies.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead and manage complex process innovation projects from Scoping to Launch.
• Identify and manage the alignment and communication with the key stakeholders;
• Develop and implement detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation aligned with the key stakeholders;
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product management, R&D and innovation teams to drive successful project delivery.;
• Ensure qualified project deliverables according each project stage gates;
• Manage any changes and deviation in the projects from the original plan and actively resolve or escalate when needed to remove hurdles/roadblocks, securing the success of the project;
• Prepare a realistic business case with the associated teams and ensure the KPI’s required for the built business case are met during the project execution;
• Identify and anticipate on risks, come-up with mitigations and seek for support where appropriate;
• Ensure that all projects are executed within the agreed scope, on time and within budget;
• Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective use of resources;
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, ensuring effective collaboration;
• Prepare and present regularly project reports and updates.
• Ensure high quality knowledge management such as reports and documentation as well as sharing the project learnings across the organization.
Your profile
• Master’s degree in technical discipline, ideally (bio)chemical engineering, process technology or equivalent;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 years in R&D/Engineering and 5 years in project management, preferably process innovation closely together with operations;
• Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end project lifecycles;
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools;
• Hands-on, results-driven mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and leadership skills;
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
• Proven ability to work and lead effectively in cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving alignment across departments;
• Demonstrated experience in budget management, cost control, and driving continuous improvement initiatives;
