About the Role

As an R&D Intern (Downstream Process Development), you will work alongside experienced Technicians and Scientists to develop and optimize biochemical and food processing technologies. You’ll gain practical experience in process development, including theoretical research, setup assembly, experimental execution, data analysis, and reporting. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical skills in a real-world industrial setting while contributing to meaningful sustainability projects.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in designing, planning, and executing bench-scale and pilot-scale experiments.

• Conduct downstream processing (DSP) tests related to solids (e.g., spray drying, granulation) and/or liquids (e.g., crystallization, extraction, adsorption, evaporation, solid-liquid separation).

• Analyze, interpret, and report experimental data, drawing meaningful conclusions.

• Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards in the laboratory and pilot facilities.

• Work collaboratively with the Innovation Center Process Technology team to develop and optimize new sustainable processing technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology, or a related field.

• Eagerness to gain hands-on experience in laboratory and pilot-scale process development.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on attitude.

• Excellent team player with strong communication skills.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
