Junior SAP Specialist | AI, Cloud & Integrations

The role

Are you at the start of your career and excited to build your expertise in SAP, cloud technology, AI and system integration? Corbion is  further expanding and developing its SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)  as part of the S/4HANA journey. Because this is a relatively new area within our IT organization, you will have the opportunity to learn, experiment and grow alongside experienced colleagues while working on real enterprise solutions.

Corbion has implemented a global ERP template based on the latest version of SAP S/4HANA. We have activated the AI engine of SAP (Joule) in our SAP systems and we are building our first own agents in the BTP layer. We have adopted the SAP clean core approach and we are gradually moving our custom developments to the BTP layer. This emphazises the growing importance of our BTP and this new role.

You will join our in-house IT team and gradually develop into a trusted contributor within the SAP BTP domain. This is a hands-on junior role for someone who is curious about how systems connect, enjoys solving technical challenges and wants to build a long-term career in a strategic and fast-growing SAP area. You will receive practical guidance from experienced SAP professionals and consultants. You can also make use of SAP Learning Hub resources, including relevant courses and the opportunity to work towards SAP certification. The role offers structured support and learning opportunities, although it is not a formal traineeship with a fixed rotation or month-by-month curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, development and maintenance of integrations between SAP S/4HANA and other systems.
• Learn to work with SAP BTP services, including SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build and Joule Studio, with guidance from senior colleagues.
• Participate in projects involving SAP integrations, AI solutions and extensions and process improvements.
• Work with SAP architects, developers and functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
• Learn through a combination of training, hands-on assignments and knowledge sharing with experienced internal and external consultants.
• Test ideas, ask questions and contribute to solving technical challenges in a complex enterprise IT environment.
• Gradually take on more ownership and responsibility as your knowledge, confidence and experience grow.
• Continue developing your technical skills through SAP Learning Hub, practical experience and, where relevant, SAP certification.

You bring

• You are a starter, recent graduate or junior professional with approximately 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• A university or HBO degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Basic programming experience in Java, JavaScript, Python or another language, together with an understanding of structured programming.
• An interest in enterprise IT systems, SAP and integration technologies. Experience with SAP, SAP BTP or integration tools is welcome, but not required.
• An advantage if you are familiar with APIs, low-code/no-code concepts or cloud platforms.
• A strong willingness to learn, ask questions and develop yourself in a complex IT environment.
• An analytical and structured approach, with the confidence to explore unfamiliar technical topics.
• The ability to work independently when appropriate and collaborate effectively as part of a team.
