The role

As Team Lead Accounting & Reporting NL, you are the financial backbone of our Dutch manufacturing operations. You lead, coach, and develop a team of two experienced GL accountants while working closely with the Senior Manager Accounting & Reporting EMEA.

You take end-to-end ownership of the Dutch accounting & reporting activities, from month-end close and IFRS reporting to tax, audit, payroll accounting, and internal controls. You act as the first point of contact for accounting-related matters within the Dutch organization and play a key role in translating the financial impact of production, inventory, and cost developments into clear and reliable reporting.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a production-driven finance environment, combining strong technical accounting expertise with team management, coordination, and stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management: Lead, coach, and manage a Dutch GL team of 2 FTE, taking full ownership of people management, performance reviews, and the distribution of priorities in alignment with the Senior Manager A&R EMEA.
• Financial Closing & Reporting: Oversee the end-to-end Dutch monthly closing process, ensuring all reporting meets IFRS, group standards, and local statutory requirements while maintaining a "no surprises" approach to Balance Sheet and P&L accuracy.
• Operational Excellence: Independently execute complex accounting activities and lead financial review calls, providing deep insights into margin development, operational results, and fixed cost trends.
• Audit & Internal Control: Serve as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, managing the execution of audit plans and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality documentation and quarterly control checks.
• Tax & Payroll Oversight: Ensure full Dutch tax compliance (including BUA and WKR) and collaborate closely with the payroll department to validate monthly outcomes and specialized accounting treatments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a central point of contact for Business Control, IT, HR, and Operations, while bridging coordination between the Dutch and Spanish GL teams to ensure regional alignment.
• Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify reporting gaps and lead cross-departmental projects aimed at harmonizing financial systems, standardizing procedures, and driving efficiency across the EMEA region.

You bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting.
• At least 5 years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting, with a strong preference for experience gained in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting, including inventory, cost accounting, production variances, and operational finance topics.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, or coordinating a small accounting team.
• Strong technical accounting background, including IFRS expertise and solid GL experience.
• Strong affinity with auditing, internal controls, and compliance.
• Experience working closely with Operations, Business Control, HR, Payroll, IT, and other stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive, independent working style.
• Strong communicator, able to switch easily between detail and overview.
• Affinity with SAP / SAP S/4HANA and reporting systems.
• Fluent in English; comfortable in an international environment.
• Fluency in Dutch is strongly preferred.

De Rol
Als Team Lead Accounting & Reporting NL vorm jij de financiële ruggengraat van onze Nederlandse productieactiviteiten. Je geeft leiding aan, coacht en ontwikkelt een team van twee ervaren GL-accountants, terwijl je nauw samenwerkt met de Senior Manager Accounting & Reporting EMEA.
Je neemt het volledige eigenaarschap over de Nederlandse accounting- en rapportageactiviteiten: van de maandafsluiting en IFRS-rapportages tot belastingen, audits, salarisadministratie en interne controles. Je bent het eerste aanspreekpunt voor accounting-vraagstukken binnen de Nederlandse organisatie en speelt een sleutelrol bij het vertalen van de financiële impact van productie, voorraad en kostenontwikkelingen naar heldere en betrouwbare rapportages.
Dit is een 'hands-on' leidinggevende rol in een productiegedreven finance-omgeving, waarin je technische accounting-expertise combineert met teammanagement, coördinatie en stakeholderbeheer.

Belangrijkste Verantwoordelijkheden

• Teamleiderschap & Management: Je geeft leiding aan en coacht een Nederlands GL-team (2 FTE). Je bent verantwoordelijk voor people management, functioneringsgesprekken en de prioriteitenstelling in afstemming met de Senior Manager A&R EMEA.
• Financiële Afsluiting & Rapportage: Je overziet het volledige Nederlandse maandafsluitingsproces. Je zorgt dat alle rapportages voldoen aan IFRS, groepsstandaarden en lokale wettelijke vereisten, waarbij je een "no surprises"-aanpak hanteert voor de nauwkeurigheid van de balans en de P&L.
• Operational Excellence: Je voert zelfstandig complexe accounting-taken uit en leidt financial review calls, waarbij je diepgaand inzicht geeft in marge-ontwikkelingen, operationele resultaten en trends in vaste kosten.
• Audit & Interne Controle: Je bent de primaire contactpersoon voor interne en externe auditoren. Je beheert de uitvoering van auditplannen en zorgt voor tijdige levering van hoogwaardige documentatie en driemaandelijkse controlechecks.
• Fiscale & Salarisbeheer: Je waarborgt de volledige Nederlandse fiscale compliance (inclusief BUA en WKR) en werkt nauw samen met de salarisadministratie om maandelijkse uitkomsten en gespecialiseerde boekhoudkundige verwerkingen te valideren.
• Stakeholder Samenwerking: Je fungeert als centraal aanspreekpunt voor Business Control, IT, HR en Operations. Daarnaast sla je de brug tussen het Nederlandse en Spaanse GL-team om regionale afstemming te borgen.
• Continu Verbeteren: Je identificeert proactief hiaten in de rapportage en leidt afdelingoverstijgende projecten gericht op het harmoniseren van financiële systemen, het standaardiseren van procedures en het verhogen van de efficiëntie in de EMEA-regio.

Wat jij meebrengt

• Een afgeronde Bachelor- of Masteropleiding in Finance of Accounting.
• Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in Financial Accounting & Reporting, bij voorkeur opgedaan in een productieomgeving.
• Sterke 'hands-on' ervaring met productie-accounting, inclusief voorraadbeheer, kostprijsberekening en productievarianties.
• Aantoonbare ervaring met het leiden, coachen of coördineren van een (klein) accountingteam.
• Een sterke technische basis in accounting, inclusief IFRS-expertise en ruime ervaring met het grootboek (GL).
• Affiniteit met auditing, interne controles en compliance.
• Ervaring in het nauw samenwerken met Operations, Business Control, HR, Payroll en IT.
• Uitstekende analytische vaardigheden en een proactieve, zelfstandige werkhouding.
• Sterke communicatieve vaardigheden; je schakelt moeiteloos tussen details en het grote geheel.
• Affiniteit met SAP / SAP S/4HANA en rapportagesystemen.
• Vloeiend in Engels; je voelt je thuis in een internationale omgeving.
• Vloeiende beheersing van de Nederlandse taal is een sterke pré.
