Corbion’s Algae Ingredients (CAI) division develops new applications and markets for algae-based ingredients produced by fermentation. We have a range of products that deliver breakthrough innovations for different applications including human and animal nutrition by offering sustainable, clean, at scale and cost-efficient algae-based ingredients including Omega-3 fatty acids. This is a high growth and added value market.


As our Regional Sales Manager Europe, you take responsibility for the overall sales of Algae Ingredients in your region and for assigned key accounts. You will manage existing business and develop new customers. You will be supported by the Technical Sales team and collaborate closely with Product Management and Supply Chain to reach the business objectives in the respective region.




  • Develop and execute regional sales & market strategies and plans to realize the business objectives.
  • Responsible for realization of business targets (revenues, volumes, prices, margins) with customers in the region.
  • Implement and execute pricing strategies in cooperation with product management.
  • Develop and execute on strategic & tactical planning for assigned Key Accounts and realize business targets.
  • Negotiate and close contracts with support of internal functions
  • Identify sustainable market opportunities to further develop the business in the region
  • Build and maintain new business development pipeline and support new product launches
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure accurate account forecasting and supply for the region
  • Manage the customer interface together with AI customer service team.
  • Gather market and competitive information to support the regional and global strategy


About you


  • At least 5 years of experience in International B2B raw material or ingredient sales with a sustainability value proposition and key account management elements.
  • Strong affinity with Aqua Nutrition, Agricultural, Animal Nutrition, Pet Food Industries.
  • A business degree and/or a degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Animal Husbandry, Zoology, or equivalent knowledge by experience.
