Regulatory Specialist Food EMEA

Job Description

In the role as the Regulatory Specialist Food you contribute significantly to ensuring Corbion’s "License to Sell" in EMEA region, with a strong focus on our Food portfolios. You proactively enable Corbion to maintain products in the required markets and to introduce new products. In addition, you provide input to enable efficient regulatory decision-making and support innovation. You will work closely with our Sr Regulatory Manager Food & Algae EMEA and report to the Regulatory Director EMEA.

Responsibilities

1. Support the business

• Make statements on regulatory positions
• Do Regulatory Freedom to Operate reviews
• Handle ad hoc regulatory issues for new and existing food -and sometimes feed- ingredients

2. Participation in projects

• Work on regulatory file development and submission
• Act as regulatory knowledge center

3. Compliance

• Conduct regulatory compliance evaluations for food products
• Support in identifying strategic market/country combinations on basis of risk assessment and make sure these combinations have license to sell

4. Communication

• Manage communication with consultants and business experts
• Represent the regulatory function on cross-functional product innovation teams

About You

• A degree in food technology, nutritional sciences or similar
• 4-7 years of experience in food industry or in consultancy
• Accurate and organized way of working
• Strong communicator standing for full regulatory compliance
• Curious to learn about various product regulations and regulatory work within industry
• Team player
• Excellent in English, any other European language is a plus
• Currently based within the EU
