Our Biomaterials Business Unit develops, produces, and supplies degradable polymers to the medical and pharmaceutical industries. Our materials are critical to applications such as resorbable orthopedic implant, excipient for long acting pharmaceutical implants or as bio-stimulating agent in aesthetic dermal fillers. With production facilities in Gorinchem, The Netherlands, and Tucker, GA, USA, we work closely with our customers to deliver tailored, high-quality solutions that meet the industry's most stringent demands.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales and Business Development Manager to help drive growth and strengthen our position in the biomedical materials sector. This is a high-impact role for a strategic thinker with a strong background in materials science and a proven track record in sales, forecasting, and business development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute robust sales strategies to achieve revenue goals and expand market presence.
  • Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, partnerships, and emerging markets.
  • Forecasting & Analytics: Enhance forecasting and reporting processes to support strategic planning and growth initiatives.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build trusted, long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and inspire the sales team to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and technological developments to inform business strategies.
  • Digital Tools & Processes: Leverage Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Forms, etc.) to optimize sales workflows and communication.

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Material Science or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years' experience in sales and business development, ideally within the biomedical materials or medical device industry.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales targets and business development goals.
