QA Coordinator

Oversees, monitors, and coordinates team activities, giving importance to individual members and overall team’s achievement of establish goals. Responsible for supporting the quality management system (QMS) and process including critical process characteristics, standards, audits, and complaint resolutions.  Ensures team’s goals are aligned with and representative of the overall company’s directive. The position will provide support during customer visits and third party audits. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in related field. 

Experience:  Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a food or pharmaceutical facility with similar applications. Experience in food programs, including but not limited to HACCP, GMP’s, SPC, PCQI for food and feed, as well as exposure to a TPM environment.

• PCQI certification preferred.
• HACCP certification preferred.
• GFSI Internal auditor certification preferred.
• Travel and on-call availability are required.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures ongoing compliance to, but not limited to HACCP, GMP’s, FSMA, BRCGS, ISO 9001 and EXCiPACT
• Implements, executes, and promotes food safety of our products through the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), performance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Security Measures, Housekeeping, Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP), all quality, regulatory, environmental, safety and health guidelines and regulations.  These standards are used in all daily activities to ensure the products safety and quality are in compliance. 
• Assist with tracking, reporting, and solving internal and external complaints regarding products or deliveries alongside all departments in such a way that problems and complaints are being solved with a focus on long term internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Assist with customer request related to Quality
• Host customer visits and provide management support during 3rd party audits.
• Actively lead or participate in the HACCP team.
• Actively management of HACCP pre-requestit programs
• Perform risk assessments of non-conformities relating to food safety and quality of the product or processes.
• Initiate actions necessary to prevent occurrence of non-conformities relating to food safety and quality of the product or processes.
• Organize and participate in problem solving sessions and be accountable for timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
• Oversight of the Corrective and Preventive Action program.
• Conduct internal quality assurance compliance audits of products and processes.
• Maintains current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and effectiveness monitoring.
• Support global platform objectives.
• Provide back-up support for the QA/QC Manager as needed to maintain QA/QC practices and ensure product availability.
