As  our first Digital Lead, Commerce, you will work on the intersection of your business area function and digital transformation to define and to deliver the digital project portfolio. You will be the Digital Champion and go-to-person for all strategic digital initiatives within your function.

 

Your primary focus is to translate the Corbion Digital Strategy and the cross-Business Unit (BU) Commerce strategy into a roadmap resulting in a relevant digital program. You will be fully submersed in the business processes of your function to understand the strategic needs and requirements of the various commercial departments of Sales, Marketing, Product Management. At the same time, you will be looking at the opportunities of what (new) Digital technologies (e.g., Data & Analytics, IoT, AI and ML, Software 2.0) can bring. Next to defining digital roadmap projects, as the Digital Lead, Commerce, you will run approved pilot projects as proof-of-concept projects, while continuing to gather data throughout to present back to the Digital Leadership Team, ensuring the future success of the larger roll-out of that project. 

 

As a key member of the Corbion Digital Program Team (DPT), you will help to decide on the prioritization and resourcing of the proposed projects and product changes.  You will work together with the Digital Project Manager, Legal, Regulatory, and IT to ensure that not only are internal requirements being met, but that legal and regulatory requirements are being met globally.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage communication, collect, and validate requirements, manage the change and user-adoption for the key projects and software products in your scope.
  • Align on future necessary projects and prioritize them.
  • Represent digital commerce across all Corbion Business Units (Corbion Enterprise).
  • Build operational collaborations and proactively manage required interdependencies between functions
  • Identify and empower internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively set meetings with stakeholders and leaders within organization to both set expectations and gather information.
  • Build, develop, and grow any cross-functional, interdependent relationships vital to the success of projects (internal and external).
  • Support and promote a Digital culture and mindset
  • Monitor and coach relevant  digital projects
  • Scout and review new technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital business tools.
  • Perform strategic analysis 'outside-in' for relevant digital projects connecting to business function and user needs with the intent to build competitive advantage in each tool/asset we deploy.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in stakeholder management/business analysis Strategic mindset
  • Technology savvy, multiple platforms/applications/integration knowledge
  • Project (Agile/waterfall) and program management skills
  • Understand IT/technology developments and ability to translate this into value-added solutions/projects
  • PMP certified or working towards certification
  • Prior experience as a project manager is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated problem solver
  • Thrive working with ambiguity and you take extreme ownership of your work
  • Excellent time management, organization and critical thinking skills
  • Digital champion
  • Experience with digital technology, AI, data, low-code, preferred
  • Background in consultancy, tech firm or strategy consulting is a plus
  • Travel up to 35%, both domestic and international

 

Other qualifications:

  • Display proactive willingness to learn and understand requirements and the insights that you will receive.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, etc.
  • Develop relationships with business leads and others within the primary business for which the project is being built. 
  • Contribute to further best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Disseminate information as you receive it.  Be able to quickly understand the information, and explain it to others.
  • Present your information within the parameters set forth from the Digital Leadership Team.
  • Display Project Management skills that will be used for smaller pilot projects.
  • Champion user experience in addition to tool functionality
  • Work for the vision of Data driven company, data technologies, data informed people to drive strategic decisions, de-risk the business, and inform tactical iterations.
