Global Insights Manager at Corbion provides functional expertise, strategic and tactical guidance using marketing insights.  This role supports the meat industry by gathering industry and consumer insights and analyzing industry data, consumer and market trends.  The ideal candidate will translate that information into opportunities for internal partners and external customers. Strong presentation skills and the ability to interact with and influence all levels of our global organization are key.

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead market research interactions with assigned brand teams to ensure research findings/insights are understood and implemented, driving critical business decisions
  • Build market awareness and value perceptions of Corbion and the solutions we offer through initiation, development, execution, and interpretation of primary market research
  • Increase customer, prospect and market influencer interest through coordination with marketing communications, leveraging primary and secondary market research
  • Lead the development and management of an annual market research plan
  • Develop relationships with external research firms/agencies and freelance resources.
  • Oversee key primary research for the meat industry; initiate, develop, execute, and interpret primary market research.  Procure secondary market research data to frame industry strategies and guide strategic considerations, branding alignment, value propositions, positioning, and messaging
  • Collaborate with business to scope insight initiatives through formal definition of study objectives, critical information needs and methodologies for fulfilling objectives
  • Share and activate insights, creating relevant link to broader business strategies or targeted market opportunities
  • Advocate for market/customer needs based on market intelligence/data/trends.
  • Support sales team and customer communications needs by travelling to customers to present insights or new commercialization of solutions
  • Other duties as determined by business needs

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, scientific/technically relevant degree or related field
  • 5+ years of market research required, preferably within the food and or biochemical application industries; B2B experience is a plus
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work and collaborate as part of cross functional team
  • Fluent in a wide range of secondary data sources (Nielsen, IRI, Euromonitor, Innova, Mintel)
  • Well versed and experienced in a broad array of primary market research approaches (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Up to 30% travel
