Job Summary:

We are seeking an HR Generalist to support the day-to-day human resources functions. You will join a collaborative national HR team reporting to a HR Manager on-site. Your primary focus will be on supporting immigration, employee relations, and recruiting. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your human resources career.

 

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include new manager training, anti-harassment training, etc.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to disputes and investigations; talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; immigration; and training and development.
  • Ensure organization, quality control, data input, and general maintenance of all immigration compliance records and required postings.
  • Prepare and maintain all immigration-related correspondence and documents. 
  • Receive employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Perform routine tasks associated with onboarding new hires (i.e., tax forms, I9, and other forms as required by Revenue and Labor authorities)
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Assist other members of the Human Resources staff with special projects or as needed.

  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • 4 years of Human Resources experience with at least 1 year employment-based immigration experience.
  • Experience working in a remote, globally distributed team in a fast-paced high-growth environment strongly preferred.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
