Corbion is seeking a Supplier Quality Manager responsible for engaging with external suppliers and internal business partners, including company leadership, to address issues and opportunities within supplier quality management globally. In this role, you will be accountable for collecting and overseeing global risk evaluation for security of supply (both material and supplier level risks) by collaborating with quality, sustainability and procurement partners. As the primary point of contact for Supplier Quality Management for risk evaluation, you will work cross-functionally to advocate, plan, schedule, and oversee the technical, quality, and operational activities associated with supplier and material quality risks identification and implementation of controls.
Essential Functions
- Actively drive supplier quality relationship management, commitment, and compliance through trends in risk analysis and objective results.
- Spearhead activities related to trending vendor performance (quality deviations, supply chain failures, supplier compliance review) along with any other company tools for compliance oversight. Champion quality compliance and supplier benchmarking (score carding) for identification of supplier performance.
- Analyze quality risks and the impact to Corbion's interests.
- Conduct research to execute practical mitigation strategies for proactive controls of high-risk situations.
- Organize activities with quality teams for professional evaluation and trending of supplier performance progress to perform reliable risk examination of product related categories.
- Manage project deliverables associated with supplier quality management vendor performance activities.
- Coordinate audit list with SQM auditor, perform audits as needed, and assist with audit CAPA review.
- Influence the organization by developing and standardizing supplier and material compliance globally to ensure Corbion meets applicable regional and local regulatory or certifying body's standards.
- Manage supplier processes and governance activities to oversee proper execution of technical document review, supplier qualification and onboarding, in order to execute effective risk assessments.
- Define, coordinate and trend global security of supply quality initiatives.
- Establish benchmark metrics for supplier performance, define supplier KPIs and ensure supplier performance delivers against company and department targets while striving for Best-In-Class status and compliance.
- Integrate continuous quality improvement initiatives for monitoring regional and global supplier compliance and supporting key partner initiatives for supplier management.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of compliance requirements and risk impact to Corbion and business performance.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in science/business technical related field or related disciplines. (Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering)
- 5+ years of experience in food manufacturing or supply chain within consumer-packaged goods or food ingredient industry.
- Preventive Controls for Human Food Qualified Individual (PCQI) and Foreign Supplier Verification Program training is required.
- Ability to understand/interpret/communicate/present and execute strategies for supplier and material qualification compared to GFSI, FSMA, HACCP/HARPC or other global standards.
- Robust knowledge of quality systems and product/process lifecycle management within the supply chain end-to-end process and manufacturing environment to determine risk to Corbion business.
- High level of organizational skill, commitment, motivation and follow through to influence internal and external partners.
- Professional expert in the organizational structure of regional and global TraceGains data configuration (or like system).
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including people management skills.
- Solution-oriented, dependable self-starter with solid ability to participate in cross-functional teams to champion change throughout the organization where responsibilities are layered throughout the organization.
- Ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks on time in a fast-changing environment and to successfully participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working on complex projects with remote team members. Strong negotiating and influencing strategies.
