Product management links the market to manufacturing, and skilled Product Managers can translate market needs into the language of scientists, sales, and operations. We are seeking a skilled  Product Manager (PM), Preservation to contribute to the realization of business targets. Preservation is a key strategic technology pillar for global SFS strategy encompassing traditional and new natural and clean label solutions consisting of antimicrobials, vinegar, ferments, antioxidants, extracts, flavor specialties.  This positions assures the preservation product portfolio design supports the company's overall strategy and SFS goals.  As the preservation product champion and expert for the portfolio,  this position  will contribute to the development and implementation of preservation solutions across multiple market segments. The PM is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout assigned products lifecycle (includes prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining individual product vision, and working closely with R&D, business development, sales, marketing, regulatory, IP, and operations, S&OP) and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.


The PM role is based in our North American (NAM) Headquarters and will report directly to the Global Business Director, Preservation.  




  • Implement the strategic and business plans, (which includes market share position and profitability strategy, globally and regionally) with cross-functional to ensure the annual sales budget is met or exceeded.
  • Implement pricing and pricing strategy per product group/customer segment, and working capital guidelines consistent with profit and market share goals.
  • Review and approve new product requests with input from Sales Management, Applications and Business Development
  • Analyze product portfolio for revenue, margin, mix, complaints, growth, hold, divest (BCG matrix analysis) as well as analyze product line life cycle.
  • Review and drive innovation project portfolio and implement new products in line with the business strategy by working closely with a cross-functional team. 
  • Work closely with Marketing and Business Developers to prepare market introduction, promotion, and product launch.
  • Identify new sales opportunities for the business and provide sales programs by working closely with Strategic Intelligence, Business Developers, Sales, Marketing, R&D and Procurement.   
  • Support regulatory registrations and compliance in target countries with RA support
  • Represent the portfolio  at key customers, industry meetings, fairs, and events.
  • Other duties as assigned




  • Bachelor of Science in Food, Biology, Chemistry, Biotech or related field. Preferably Master’s degree in food or business.
  • 5+ years of work experience in multiple roles (e.g. technical sales, procurement, pricing, R&D) and a minimum of 2 years' experience in customer facing roles in a regional or  international context.
  • Skills in data, both quantitative and qualitative, analysis is necessary.
  • Exceptional communication skills to lead cross functional teams, and manage key internal stakeholders is required.
  • Able to handle the complexity of a matrix organization.
  • Hands-on, a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and a team player. 
  • Travel will average ~20%
