The Inside Sales Account Representative will be responsible for selling all Corbion products and services by making direct contact with customers to offer food application solutions through our wide portfolio of products. You will be responsible for the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through sales close.



  • Prospect and develop new business, source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls/emails.
  • Review and analyze new prospects and make informed decisions on go to market strategies, which can include distributor management.
  • Regularly document sales opportunities and  interact with existing customers primarily by phone and email to increase sales of Corbion products.
  • Coordinate with field sales team members to ensure goals are met.
  • Provide support to customers over the phone/email and periodically make field visits to customers. 
  • Keep detailed account records and contact logs.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sale.
  • Responsible to achieve revenue growth by expanding product offerings to existing customers.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach on all calls.
  • Give on-site sales presentations to existing and potential customers.
  • Develop strategies to grow customer base
  • Conduct business to business telephone/email sales.
  • Manage and record all leads from outbound telephone marketing.
  • Contact new and existing customers to discuss how their needs could be met with specific products and services.
  • Develop expertise in product application of Corbion products as the leading solution provider of food ingredients in the market.
  • Maintain friendly and professional customer interactions at all times.
  • Review sales reports monthly to track the progress of sales targets.
  • Interact with other departments internally to work with projects and participates in team meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Bachelor in Food Sciences or other related field. 
  • Food application product knowledge.
  • Proven high level of interpersonal and communications skills, including ability to listen, resolve problems, deal with unresolved issues and unexpected events. 
  • Proven ability to achieve goals through influencing and partnering with vendors, customers, and leadership across the business and contributing to the overall direction and success of the business.
  • Experience in both an applications environment and manufacturing environment is highly valued.


  • Superior facilitation and communication skills at all levels
  • Excellent knowledge of common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient interactions, alternatively an individual with demonstrable passion for redefining the future of food.
  • Proven ability to function well in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
  • Must be a persuasive negotiator with strategic prospecting skills.     
  • Food sciences educational background a plus.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
