As a Senior Pricing Analyst at Corbion, you will drive consistency in pricing and contribute to our P&L strength via strong cost and profitability analysis. Through your daily activities, you will generate accurate, unbiased, and fact-based information to support our commercial organization. You will predominantly support the North America Functional Ingredient business unit with a specific focus on Lactic Acid, Derivatives, and Preservation. This position will collaborate with Product Management and Sales to guide prospective customers from pricing proposal to contract execution, encompassing contract review and providing overall support for new and existing customer opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop pricing models to inform decisions on pricing agreements for new and existing customers, covering both current and new formulations.
- Drive and manage ad hoc pricing initiative discussions with business stakeholders, including Product Management, Sales, R&D, Business Development, and senior management.
- Collaborate with product managers, sales managers, customer service representatives, logistics, billing, and finance during the sales process.
- Analyze customer and market pricing, associated input costs, and margins to understand cost and pricing volatility within the food industry.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Operation Finance to monitor input costing changes and develop analysis thresholds for reporting potential changes to finished goods costs. Work closely with Product Management to create and finalize recommendations.
- Prepare financial reports with reliable conclusions that Product Management can use to implement more effective pricing strategies and guidance.
- Support quarterly price realization reviews and annual target-setting by analyzing historic performance and preparing recommendations for new target prices.
- Identify opportunities to enhance cost and pricing models through thorough analytics, collaborating both independently and with the team to implement initiatives.
- Utilize subject matter experts throughout the organization to develop and enhance business cases for new product developments and/or ad hoc business proposals.
- Assist in the pricing process refinement and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (MBA a plus).
- 2+ years of experience in analytics, pricing, controls or finance preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel. Experience with Access, BI, SQL, and analytical tools are a plus.
- Proven success in understanding and performing statistical analyses.
- Communicator who can prepare and deliver concise presentations, clearly understanding and explaining complex data sets.
- Ability to work as part of cross-functional teams, collaborating with various levels of the organization.
- Previous experience in SAP is a plus.
