Do you have a passion for manufacturing safety and the environment? Corbion is now looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager based at our Montmelo facility. In this role, you will report to the Site Director and have 3-5 direct reports.

Our ideal candidate will have experience creating and maintaining a zero incident culture for Safety and Environment, preferably in an industrial setting. At Corbion, you will work with a close group of colleagues who share your passion for safety, health, and the environment.

Responsibilities:

Accountable for lowering (to zero) the amount of safety, health & environmental incidents on the site in Montmeló.
Develop and leading EHS strategy, awareness and culture, EHS year plan and local budget
Ensure all EHS permits and certifications are up to standard.
Manage the EHS team and lead EHS focus groups and the outsourced security team.
Ensure EHS compliance, occupational&health and process safety according to guidelines and policies.
Represent the company and maintain good relations with the governmental parties including Montmeló town hall, Environmental Agency, Water Agency and the Fire Department.
Manage the emergency organization to comply to ERP (Emergency Response Plan).
Act as first point of contact for incidents and calamities at the site: facilitator of the crisis management team.
Oversee environmental aspects management.
Member of the LT Operations (Site) and Corbion EHS Platform

Qualifications:

Education: University degree chemical/industrial engineer, chemist or similar combined with higher education in environmental, health and safety sciences (master degree).
Experience: minimum of 10 years of experience in EHS management.
Knowledge of EHS management systems and Spanish EHS legislation.
Proven success using risk evaluation techniques including, but not limited to PHA (Hazop, What if, etc)
Mastery of root cause analysis techniques: 5 Why’s, Cause and effect Diagram, Fishbones, preferably in an industrial environment.
Languages: Spanish, English (fluent).
