We have an opportunity for a Regulatory Affairs Content Specialist, based at one of our European offices (Amsterdam, Gorinchem NL or Barcelona) with a possibility to partially work from home.  

As our RA Content Specialist, you will join our Regulatory Affairs Digital team, which is part of an exciting, global and dynamic RA Team. The global team has a clear vision of further optimizing full regulatory competencies and digital system know how, with the objective of enabling Corbion to:

  • Secure our license to sell products in the required markets
  • Effectively communicate product hazards.
  • Automate regulatory validation of our products.
  • Timely and correctly respond to customer questions


Our core RA systems are SAP-EHS and a Product Information Management (PIM) solution, with a possibility to propose and learn more about our other connected systems. Automating as much of our regulatory and business processes is key to Corbion’s success.


In this position you report to the Director Regulatory Affairs Business Processes, who is based out of The Netherlands.


Key responsibilities


  • Maintain data in SAP EHS relevant for authoring Safety Data Sheets and creating labels for our products. 
  • Maintain data in our PIM system relevant for creation of product datasheets
  • Work closely with the ERP team to ensure proper data flow and integrity and keep the systems up to date.
  • Enable the systems to work mostly automated, intervene where required and ensure documents created by the systems are accurate (e.g. SDS, data sheets, labels, certificates, etc) in order to stay compliant.
  • Participate in strategy discussions with industrial leaders and give regulatory support based on this.
  • Advise Operations, R&D, Product Managers, Customer Service, Sales and Marketing on decisions involving changes to product information e.g. GHS label data, hazard classification, Dangerous Goods classification and ensure that effective compliance policies and procedures are developed and maintained.
  • Understand and interpret new developments on digitalization and how Corbion can benefit from these.
  • Stay up to date with various compliance topics e.g. EU REACH, GHS, CLP, OSHA, transport and custom tariff codes.
  • Contribute to the development of Corbion's regulatory knowledge centre (by e.g. visiting conferences, trainings and following regulatory news alerts).

About you


  • Graduate degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Toxicology, Chemistry, or IT

  • Strong working knowledge of SAP EHS, familiarity with PIM systems and data analytics.                
  • Team player with a strong digital and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Worldwide knowledge of hazard communication, tariff codes, food labelling.                
  • Experience in data management and business process management.
  • Fluent in English, additional languages an asset.
  • Effective project management and communication skills. 
  •  At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
