We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager – CAPEX to lead sourcing activities and drive strategic procurement initiatives across Corbion’s sites in LATAM. This role plays a key part in the exploration, development, and execution of CAPEX projects, working closely with suppliers and internal cross‑functional teams. The ideal candidate will proactively contribute to cost‑saving initiatives, long‑term project pipelines, and strong stakeholder engagement, while consistently delivering against annual targets and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, recommend, execute, and communicate cross‑functional procurement strategies and projects for assigned categories.
- Lead and manage CAPEX procurement activities for Corbion units, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Collaborate proactively with internal stakeholders (Operations, Engineering Teams, Plant Managers, Finance, Project Managers, Legal, etc.) from the early stages of CAPEX projects.
- Maintain updated contracts and commitments to ensure visibility of financial exposure.Identify, document, and implement cost‑reduction opportunities across the CAPEX supply chain.
- Develop, recommend, and present annual budget values for CAPEX and/or Technical Goods & Services.
- Represent the Procurement function and actively participate in cross‑functional Corbion projects.
- Seek procurement process efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Comply with all Quality and Food Safety requirements.
- Participate in discussions regarding non‑conformities, product risk assessments, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Propose process improvements to ensure compliance with the Quality and Food Safety Management System.
- Join multidisciplinary teams to conduct Hazard and Risk Analyses when requested.
- Follow all required safety guidelines across all work environments.Adhere to all safety recommendations identified in Hazard and Risk Analyses.*
- Immediately stop any activity in case of anomalies that pose serious and imminent risk, informing the supervisor and/or workplace safety team.
Requirements
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Strong expertise in end‑to‑end Procurement processes and methodologies.
- Full command of negotiation, sourcing, and contract management strategies.
- Solid understanding of CAPEX processes and Technical Goods & Services.
- Knowledge of market indices and the impact of price volatility on business performance.
- Bachelor in Administration, Business or related areas.
