The Instrumental Lead Engineer is responsible for the instrument discipline within the project client team during the engineering-, procurement-,construction and commissioning of a Capital Investment project at Corbion Purac, Rayong, Thailand.

The Instrument Lead Engineer will work in a team of Discipline Engineers and be part of the Corbion Purac client team. Working period : mid 2020 – mid 2023.





  • Direct responsible for all aspects concerning the design of instrument and its infrastructure.
  • Coordinate external engineering companies for Instrument engineering activities; liaison information between client team, vendors and the engineering companies.
  • Support the tender process with the other disciplines.
  • Evaluate vendor quotations and specifications.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction and commissioning activities of Instrument related construction of sub-contractors.
  • Expediting and inspection of Instruments and field-installation services.
  • Scheduling all activities with other disciplines during all project phases.
  • Review and critique proposed changes to engineering standards, policies or details.
  • Discipline based management and control of the project on the basis of cost, timeline and quality.
  • Review and evaluation of Corbion Purac and third party engineering documents, like;  Instrument, FCV, PSV data sheets, Instrument infrastructure documents etc.
  • Active contribution to the safety performance of the project and everyone involved.




  • At least a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in similar industries, at least partly in an international setting and preferably in the Far East
  • Good Command of both written and spoken English
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, good analytical and problem solving capabilities, Team player and strong communicator
  • Willingness to work for a period of about 3 years in Thailand.
  • Knowledge of legal regulations regarding electrical issues.
  • Awareness of the cost aspects within CAPEX projects
