Lead Process Technologist

Our Rayong site is Corbion's largest lactic acid production facility and a key manufacturing hub, supplying customers around the world through advanced fermentation and process technology operations.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Process Technologist to combine technical excellence with people leadership. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Process Engineers while driving initiatives that improve plant reliability, efficiency, safety, and performance. Success requires both deep process engineering expertise and the ability to coach, influence, and guide others.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Process Engineers, fostering accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical leadership in process troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production support.
• Drive initiatives that improve plant efficiency, product quality, reliability, and cost performance.
• Lead technology implementation, pilot trials, and process optimization programs.
• Support capital projects, plant modifications, HAZOP studies, start-ups, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
• Provide expertise in process control, automation, and engineering design reviews.
• Develop and maintain key process documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and operating standards.
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Production teams to deliver sustainable improvements and develop technical capability across the organization.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in chemical, biochemical, fermentation, or petrochemical manufacturing.
• Proven experience leading, coaching, or managing engineering teams.
• Strong expertise in process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with process safety, HAZOP, MOC, and industrial manufacturing environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Rayong area.
