Senior Process Technologist - Biochemical Manufacturing

Our Rayong site is home to:

• The world’s largest lactic acid manufacturing unit (operational since 2007).
• A groundbreaking circular lactic acid plant (operational since 2024) – the first of its kind, producing lactic acid with the lowest carbon footprint in the industry. By recycling processing chemicals, we eliminate lime usage and gypsum by-products, delivering an innovative and eco-friendly solution.

Your role

As a Process Technologist, you will play a crucial role in analyzing plant performance, proposing innovative improvement initiatives, and developing process designs that enhance our bio-based production. Reporting to the Technology & Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with a diverse team of international experts and work closely with departments like Operations, Maintenance & Reliability to optimize production processes.

At Corbion, we develop our own state-of-the-art technology, and as part of our team, you will be at the forefront of process innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze plant performance, identifying and implementing solutions to optimize and stabilize production.
• Lead process design and engineering for new facilities, from conceptualization to commissioning and start-up.
• Collaborate with R&D and Global Engineering to develop efficient, cost-effective production processes.
• Ensure compliance with engineering and process safety standards.
• Review and evaluate key engineering documents, such as P&IDs, PFDs, heat and mass balances, equipment specifications, and piping system designs.
• Actively contribute to enhancing workplace safety and participate in incident reviews.

What we’re looking for

• Master’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in process engineering, preferably in similar industries.
• Strong experience in multi-disciplinary project teams within a multi-cultural environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Thai (spoken and written).
• Must be living in Thailand.
