The market for our products in China is rapidly growing. This is why we are expanding our sales team.


As our Sales Account Manager Lactic Acid & Specialties, you take responsibility for growing our business with customers and distributors in China in accordance with our global strategy. You work with customers to provide them with renewable, high performance raw materials and intermediates which help them to gain competitive advantage.


You report to the Business Development Manager, LAS China.




  • Commit to executing sales with customers and distributors in China in alignment with global business strategy.
  • Take responsibility for achieving the sales targets and monitoring progress.
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Development and supporting functions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Care for the customer relationship via Account Management skills and deep dive into customer needs.
  • Team up with product, marketing and regulatory functions to interface with customers and efficiently drive selling opportunities from technical feasibility to eventual deal closure.
  • Actively network with key industry stakeholders. Identify new business opportunities in China.
  • Obtain market insights and competitor information.
  • Register all customer and market interaction in the CRM  (MSCRM) and report  and share internally.
  • Strong focus on local regulatory evolvement and quality commitment to customers.
  • Commit  key member of the sales team. Motivate and inspire each other and share information.

About you


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or similar
  • At least 5 years of B2B sales experience selling raw materials to Pharma and/or HPC customers
  • High degree of sensitivity towards the (latent) needs of our customers.
  • Broad knowledge of  regulation-driven markets, preferably Pharma or HPC.
  • Proven success managing key accounts as well as distributors at a  regional level (Asia)
  • The courage to be clear to customers about what’s possible and what is not.
  • Good command of English and Mandarin, both in speech and writing.
