The Role
As Sales Manager Vietnam, you will play a key role in strengthening and expanding Corbion Sustainable Food Solutions’ presence in the Vietnamese food industry. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and capturing new and existing business opportunities while building long-term relationships with customers and distributors across key food segments, including Meat, Bakery, Dairy, Beverage, Confectionery, and Savory/SDC.
This role combines strong commercial ownership with hands-on technical collaboration. You will work closely with customers, distributors, and internal teams to deliver value-based solutions that support customer innovation, portfolio growth, and profitable expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key accounts and distributors, engaging stakeholders across R&D, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Production, and Regulatory Affairs.
- Develop and execute account strategies and action plans to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and portfolio penetration.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, applications, and customers aligned with Corbion’s Sustainable Food Solutions strategy.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements in line with internal guidelines and profitability targets.
- Own and deliver the annual sales budget and sales forecast for Vietnam.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitive activities, and customer trends, translating insights into concrete commercial actions.
- Manage pipeline and customer interactions effectively using CRM tools.
- Build technically driven customer relationships through formulation support, trials, and product launches.
- Act as the key interface between Sales and Technical/Application teams, ensuring customers and distributors are well trained on Corbion’s solutions and value propositions.
- Provide high-quality commercial and technical support related to applications, specifications, quality topics, legislation, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate closely with Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Supply Chain, and Finance in line with company processes.
- Support local marketing initiatives, customer events, and communication activities relevant to the Vietnamese market.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales within the food ingredients industry.
- Proven track record in managing and growing a sales territory.
- Experience with (natural) preservation solutions.
- Exposure to one or more key segments such as Meat, Bakery, Dairy, or Savory/SDC.
- Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships with key customers and distributors.
- Strong commercial skills, including pricing and contract negotiation.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Fluent in Vietnamese and English, both spoken and written.
