Accounting Clerk

Corbion is seeking an Accounting Clerk for our location in Totowa, New Jersey. This is a new role, necessary as we implement SAP globally. In this role, you will be responsible for master data integrity, reporting of weekly plant activities, reviewing process orders for completeness and accuracy, and general plant accounting analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review process orders for completeness and accuracy.
- Track raw material/packaging changes and partner with procurement to reconcile.
- Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities by processing internal plant activity reports.
- Process master data changes (including bill of materials) and audit for completeness and accuracy.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Controller and Operations Accountant.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies
- Experience prioritizing and planning work to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills, accustomed to partnering with others in a team atmosphere
- Track record of taking initiative and following-through with tasks, working independently with little supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
