POSITION SUMMARY:

The focus of this position is to be able to handle all inherent warehouse administrative functions in a fast paced environment. The area of responsibilities would include but are not limited to all weighing out and transferring materials in sample warehouse. This position will also support raw material coordinator on maintaining on warehouse processes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow all Safety, GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), and Environmental regulations as well as company policies.
• Follow food safety guidelines regarding material handling and storage within the plant. This includes proper Allergen storage.
• Process all sample orders
• Weighing out various materials to fulfill sample orders. This requires lifting a box/bag up to 56 lbs. multiple time throughout the day. It also entails using a scoop to transfer desired weight per request.
• Pick all sample orders
• Ship all sample orders
• Support Customer Service on rush sample orders
• Request material to stock sample warehouse
• Follow FEFO/FIFO for all packaging and material transfers
• Maintain good record keeping on all paperwork.
• Manage all packaging materials
• Assist with ordering of packaging material
• Ability to use forklift, electric jack or scissor lift
• Maintain a cycle count master schedule for sample warehouse
• Support scheduled cycle count program for raw material warehouse
• Complete cycle count adjustments in ERP system
• Control all data entry relating to movement of material into and out of the sample warehouse
• Support Warehouse supervision in Food Safety programs
• Perform other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
• Maintain the current ERP system and support plans and transition functions to SAP architecture
• Maintain good relationships with all other departments
• Assist as backup to Raw Material Receiving
• Perform other duties assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
• Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time without notice

OTHER REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Two plus (2+) years in warehousing within the food industry is preferred
• Ability to work in teams and independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Able to work manufacturing environment (lift/maneuver up to 56 lbs. wear PPE, etc.)
• Self-starter and open to learning

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Warehouse is large, open floor areas with loud machinery, requiring some areas for workers to wear ear protection to guard against noise. Workers are frequently exposed to high temperatures during the summer months. Some work in cold environments during winter months. Production/Warehouse areas are dusty.
• Workers are required to wear masks, hair nets, or gloves to protect the product from possible contamination. Certain areas require respirators.
