Corbion is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Supervisor to join our Totowa, NJ facility. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality control processes, maintaining standards, supporting audits, and managing customer complaint resolution. This role provides leadership to the laboratory team, ensuring departmental goals align with overall company objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices)/GLP's (Good Laboratory Practice), FSMA, Safety, and Environmental regulations as well as company policies. 
  • Maintain positive attitude. Focus on the customer, teamwork, and quality productivity.  
  • Manage lab employees and lab safety.  Train quality workforce in quality techniques and tools to ensure product requirements are met; ensure continuous control over the quality of raw materials, facilities and products.
  • Ensure proper customer contacts are made and maintained when required. Support services to customer for gauging, measuring techniques and tolerance specifications.
  • Communicate shift performance through verbal, documented and meeting formats to other team leaders, production scheduler, Plant Manager, Business Manager and Maintenance team leader.
  • Approve production testing and raw material shelf-life extensions.
  • Lead meetings, RCA and CAPA's for non-conforming product.
  • Prepare or review trending reports for quality control testing.
  • Lead daily quality meeting to review KPI'S
  • Conduct gauge R&R studies.
  • Create specifications for new and existing products in SAP & Sample Manger.
  • Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a science discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in a food or pharmaceutical facility with similar applications.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in food programs, including HACCP, GMP’s, SPC and exposure to a TPM environment.
  • SAP experience.
  • Lean-Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Working Environment

  • Manufacturing facility with large, open production areas and loud machinery.
  • Certain areas require hearing protection due to elevated noise levels.
  • Exposure to high temperatures in summer and cold environments during winter.
  • Work occurs in GMP-controlled and laboratory environments requiring protective equipment such as hairnets, beard nets, uniforms, gloves, and respirators.

Physical Demands (if applicable)

  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
  • Occasional lifting of materials up to 30–50 lbs.
  • Regular interaction with laboratory instruments, computers, and production equipment.
  • Ability to maintain awareness and safely navigate an active manufacturing environment.

Our offer

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, location and business or organizational needs. The base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $92,000. In addition, we offer:
