Position Summary

As our Supply Chain Specialist you will be responsible for the planning and scheduling processes to ensure all customer needs are addressed and met while maintaining the highest level of efficiency in production and minimizing operational costs. You will identify opportunities for improvements in the supply chain through a data-driven approach. You will also coordinate and plan through interaction with the supply planning, customer service, sales, and purchasing departments. Position reports to the GM Biomaterials NA.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for effective scheduling of all raw materials and finished good production.
  • Work closely with plant management team to coordinate plant production needs.
  • Lead site localization efforts for ERP transition and effectively implement new Supply/Planning software and programs per the strategic plans established for the Supply Chain team.
  • Develop and lead implementation of long range strategy for optimization of plant performance.
  • Develop long range goals and objectives for improving the Supply Chain processes and department.
  • Monitor inventory levels for fulfillment of customer orders while minimizing production costs.
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with Customer Service and Purchasing departments to ensure orders are being met and scheduled according to customer needs.
  • Participate in  financial control of the business with processes including cycle counts, shop floor control, master data maintenance and inbound/outbound shipment accuracy.
  • Ensures the conformance of Tucker processes and activities to FDA cGMP (21CFR Part 210, 211, and 820), ISO 9001 and 13485, and EXCiPACT standards.
  • Work closely with global biomaterials supply chain personnel.
  • Other duties as determined by business needs.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a fast-paced,  manufacturing environment in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or food/beverage industry that includes a minimum of three (3) years in planning and scheduling.
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communications, and leadership experience.
  • Responsible and decisive decision making style.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt in short notice situations.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team player.
